1. Book some kayaks with Babinda Kayak Hire for a half Day begining at 8am. Phone 4067 2678 BOOKINGS ARE ESSENTIAL. For about 4 hours you will be taken downstream by the gentle current through the Valley along crystal clear waters. Watch the creek come alive with life, stop on a secluded beach for a swim and a snack, then mosey on to your pick up point. Phone Babinda Kayak Hire to come and pick you up and you will be taken back to your car.
2. Now, head into the Town of Babinda ( 5 - 10 minute drive - see map below) and grab a nice fresh take-away lunch from Yum Yum's, or some lovely pastry from our fine Bakery. Drive 6km further along to the famous Babinda Boulders.

Have a picnic on the Banks of Babinda Creek in tropical rainforest sorrounds and a beautifully maintained picnic area (with amenities). After lunch you can go for a swim in the designated safe swimming areas, then explore the fantastic Boulders via a beaufitul rainforest walkway. Do not venture over the rails at the lookouts for a swim as many young men have drowned in these very decieving waters.
Babinda also has a quaint little Arts and Crafts shop next to the blue visitor centre on the corner of the Hwy. This shop is full of unique crafts hand made exclusively by local artists. Many items you will not find anywhere else.
3. If you still have energy to burn, just 15 minutes drive away are the magnificent Josephine Falls, reputed by some to be the most beautiful falls in Far North Queensland. There are three lookouts to these falls, the bottom one provides access to a fresh pool at the base of the falls.

This is a popular swimming spot for tourists as is the rock slide into the pool. Large boulders next to the swimming hole provide the perfect setting to lay a towel and soak up the sounds of the rainforest and falls while watching the canopy for wildlife and butterflies. (Caution: Please be aware of the weather conditions as Jospehine Falls is suseptible to flash flooding and HAS taken lives)
4. At the end of your day, you can head back home nice and refreshed and satisfied of a full day of exploring.
Other local attractions include Eubenangee swamp and Bramston Beach, both of which can be accessed via Bramston Beach Road as shown on the map.
