As locals, We’ve had this on our ‘to do’ list for 20 years. Babinda Kayak hire started up so we hired some kayaks and took the family - what a fantastic day!, the kids loved it and spent most of their time in the water, being towed by the kayaks, snorkelling. We’ve since been back twice and plan to keep coming back. This is what living up here is about.

I couldn’t think of a better way of experiencing this paradise. A relaxing paddle down stream, taking in the picturesque scenery surrounded by fish and bird life, stopping for lunch and a swim and snorkel, all at our own pace. I’d recommend it to anyone who loves nature and want's a real taste of the tropical Far North.

My partner and I recently were fortunate enough to spend a wonderful Sunday afternoon travelling down the Babinda Creek by kayak. With waters so clear and clean, and a plentiful supply of fish to look at, we were hard pressed not to have a good time.

When it came time for lunch, there were a number of little beaches to choose from. Being able to choose when and where we ate added to the relaxed feeling we got from paddling along at our own pace. The kids had fun snorkelling and exploring and a few laughs were had as we took on a couple of the very small rapids along the way.

This was a highlight of our travels in Nth Qld.

We enjoyed the paddle down Babinda Creek with our kelpie, Mali, sitting out front spotting the prolific fish life in the clear waters, birds & butterflies flying all around us.

"My husband and I did the kayak  trip down the Babinda Creek.  What a fabulous thing to do - exciting, challenging picking the best route around logs and staying on course in a swirl of current, at the same time easy paddling in the fast flowing creek through such delightful countryside. 

This was the most fun by far of our great holiday even though the heavens opened and bucketed down!  All part of the fun! We are seniors - 73 and 65, and highly recommend it for anyone that can paddle."
